Memphis

We took a trip to Memphis Mother's Day weekend for Chris' cousin, Kim's, graduation from Rhodes College. We are so proud of her. She got her degree in Biology and will be aplying for MedSchool. The kids did really well traveling and it was really nice to have a change of scenery.
Ofcourse my pictures are all mixed up!

Sydney eating watermelon in the Hotel

Chris' mom and some other family stayrd in a motor home park. There was a Farmer's Market there with beautiful flowers and veggies.

After graduation we ate and walked around Beale Street

Kim and the Fam

Rhodes has a BEAUTIFUL campus. All of the buildings look like this.

This is what John Evan thought about the graduation ceremony
Sydney enjoyed watching all the people dressed alike
Jessica and Kimberly
Jessica is graduating from High School this year and will be going to Auburn
We stopped at this really cool Sonic on the way there. There were 2 playgrounds, a batting cage, and a basketball court. Have y'all ever seen anything like that?

After we checked into our hotel, we rode down to the river to see the River boat and all the ducks
The Hotel we stayed in the first night was very interesting. Can you tell by the way the bathroom looks? I won't go into detail lets just say we definately felt like we were in the wrong place when we saw all the "flyers" left on our car. We definately checked out a day early!

CONGRATS TO KIM! We love you!

My well rounded child

Sydney loves a little bit of everything!
Chris took us fishing this week. We had a lot of fun and caught about 15 fish. We brought them to our little neighborhood pond to try to stock it!
Here is Sydney touching her fish

John Evan was pretty patient while we fished
We fished with crickets and Sydney wanted to touch one so bad but just couldn't get up the nerve. She kept saying "I'll do it in 2 hours" then she finally decided that she would do it when she got bigger!
Sydney reeling in her fish
YaYa and Pop plant a garden every year. Sydney has been wanting to help them plant veggies. So, here they are planting tomatoes and cucumbers and peppers. She had so much fun and asked a ton of questions. I'm so glad they know a lot about gardening because I know nothing!

Home sweet Home

Here is a picture of our house.
I will post pictures of the inside if I ever get it decorated!
We love it and are very happy here!

B'ham zoo

Tammy and I took the kids to the zoo last week. They had a lot of fun, but we asked ourselves many times, "Why did we do this?"

Sydney at the petting zoo.
It was pretty cool that day and luckily I had packed Sydney's bathing suit cover up because she was freezing in her sundress.
Sydney's favorite animal was the giraffe.

Okay-so my pictures are all out of order-sorry!
Sydney had her gymnastics recital on Saturday. She was so cute and did a great job. It was like a real meet. They rotated events and everything. The pictures are bad because we had to sit up on the balcony.
Here she is doing her floor routine
She is trying to do a forward roll in the beam
When I asked her what her favorite part was she said "Getting my gold medal"
When she was getting her medal they were supposed to say their name into the mocrophone, but she didn't want to say her name so she just threw up her arms and said "TaDa" It was so cute!

Anna and Sydney dressed up as Cinderella for Story time at the library
KIDZ KUTZ is a new kids only hair salon. It is really cute. They have little cars they can sit in and they can watch TV or play video games. They also have a train table and a play kitchen in the waiting area. Sydney had been begging me to take her.
After picture. YOu can't tell here, but her hair looks so much better and so much thicker!
