Capstone 5K

We did our 5th race last weekend. I must say that I am so proud of myself! I finished in 29:30-my best time! As usual my goal was to run the whole time and I was able to do that! The good time was just a bonus. Chris and Chad also had their best time @ 26:30.
Okay-so I have a friend that I run in the neighborhood with. Karrie and I usually run 4 miles a couple of times a week. We run and chat and it usually takes us about 45 minutes and we have a great time. So, why is it that this 3 mile race was so tough? Karrie and I stayed together the whole time and we could barely talk at all and both had a pretty tough time! Is it because it was cold, or that we were running faster than usual? I don't know...anyway we did finished it!

Critter Creek Farm

We went to Critter Creek Farm last week to the pumpkin patch. The kids had a lot of fun, well I say that but actually John Evan was pretty ill most of the time. I think his tennis shoes were too tight and then he just got really tired towards the end. He pretty much screamed the whole time we were on the hayride! So maybe Sydney had a good time. They got to feed the animals and jump on the inflatables and pick out a pumpkin. I LOVE FALL! John Evan sitting on a pumpkin. Notice I took his shoes off!

Homecoming Parade

We took the kids to the Homecoming Parade. I really like parades. So, the big transfer trucks with Sorority girls are not very exciting, but I really like the bands!

As we were walking back to the car, Sydney looked real sad. When I asked her what was wring she said, "Why did they turn those coaches into stone?" It was so pitiful cause she thought the "real" coaches were under the stone! I guess she has watched The Chronicles of Narnia too many times!

Daughtry

I went to the Alabama Homecoming concert a couple of weekends ago. I totally fell in love with Chris Daughtry on American Idol. I was pretty upset that he didn't win! We had a great time at the concert! Our seats sucked, but it was still cool to be able to see him perform. He is SO hot! I went with two of my sisters, Mary and Ashley, Ashley's husband Collin, Mary's mother-in law, sister-in-law, and neices. Someone on the floor threw an Alabama hat on the stage and one of the guitarists put it on. That was pretty cool! Thanks to Chris for taking a vacation day to keep the kids and thanks to Mary and Ashley for some great sister time!

We went to Capital Park and had such a great time. Sydney was like a little model. She did everything that Mike asked her to and even did some posing on her own. We didn't have much luck with the family pictures. John Evan was not interested. Shortly after we got started he fell and hit his head on one of the big rocks. Then Chris stepped on his leg while trying to pick him up. It was pretty awful! So-that explains the big bruise! Mike took almost 300 pictures. Here are a few....
