Gymnastics recital

Sydney had her Christmas gymnastics recital on the 15th. They just did some floor routines to some Christmas music. They used ribbons, jingle bells, scarfs, and candy canes. Sydney did so good and looked so cute in her green leotard with her Dora panties hanging out. I am so proud of her for "performing" in front of all those people! Thanks to all the family for coming to support her!

Riding in Style

Sydney and I rode in a limosine last Thursday. Her friend, Stephanie, celebrated her 7th birthday. We picked her up from school, played at Chuck E. Cheese and ate dinner at Logans. The girls had a blast!

Chunky Monkey

John Evan had his 6 month check up today. He had 4 shots and did really good. He cried when he got stuck, but calmed down pretty quickly. Unfortunately, he was real fussy the rest of the day. He weighs 20lbs 4oz and is 27in. long. He is in the 75th percentile for height and 90th for weight. What a big boy! Dr. Petitt asked if we had any nicknames for John Evan...I like to call him Chunky Monkey-he suggested Buddah!

Christmas is here

Meghan and I took the kids to the mall and decided to stop and see Santa. I could not believe that Sydney sat in his lap. She would not talk to him, but atleast she didn't cry. Ofcourse, when we were on our way out if the mall, Sydney wanted to go back and talk to him. The picture I bought actually has John Evan smiling.
Every Tuesday morning we go to the library for story time. Sydney loves it and feels like such a big girl cause she goes in by herself. This week they did a Christmas craft. Here she is coloring her snowman.
Here are the baby brothers hanging out.
Sydney always has to go throw money in the fountain before we leave.

Bouncy, Bouncy, Bouncy

John Evan had his first experience in the Johnny Jumper. He had SO much fun. He bounced and bounced and then........

Went to sleep sitting straight up and...............
bounced some more. Too cute!

Happy Turkey Day

We had a great Thanksgiving and we are so blessed to have so much wonderful family in town to spend our holidays with.

Our family at Chris' dad's house Saturday night.
John Evan is such a happy little baby. He was laughing at Sydney doing "Roll Tide" chears.
Me and the kids decided at the last minute to spend the night at momma's since Chris was hunting. We put together this outfit for Sydney while her dress was being washed. Some old shorts of Chandler's size 6 and an old shirt of Shelby's size 2. Isn't she styling? It was a pretty miserable night for me and John Evan. He woke up atleast 10 times!
Eating Icecream @ McDonald's on Friday.
Pappy got into his silly mode and brought out the puppets. John Evan loved it!
Papa Sid's birthday was Thanksgiving Day.

We had lunch with Chris' family
John Evan, Sandra (Chris' mom), Matt, Sydney, and Gary (Chris' step dad)
Chandler is so good to his cousin. Here they are upstairs reading books. Everyone loves Bubba!

WHERE IS JOHN EVAN?

Can you find him? I couldn't. Okay-big boy has been sleeping in his bassinett until about a week ago. He was doing so good sleeping through the night and I didn't want to mess things up and everytime I tried to get him to sleep in his crib he would wake up. You can only imagine how squished he was in that little bassinett. SO, I finally decided to move him. The next morning I went to check on him and at first glance I thought maybe Chris had moved him. Then I realized his face was under the quilt that was hanging on the back of the crib. How funny!

My baby is 3!

BEFORE
Sydney Kate turned 3 on November 6th. It is so hard to believe it has been 3 years since she was born. I can remember the first night home from the hospital and Chris and I were saying "What were we thinking?" She cried ALL night! Sydney has been such a joy in our lives! She has always been a sweet little girl. I can't imagine not having her in my life. She keeps us on our toes and keeps us laughing. We never know what is going to come out of her mouth next! God has blessedme with a wonderful daughter and I look forward to many more years filled with joy. I am anxious to see what the future holds watching Sydney and John Evan grow up together!

AFTER 8 pounds and 19 3/4 in. long born @ 12:05pm

First Teeth

John Evan got his first two bottom teeth this week. He gets so excited when he sees his bottle. He weighs 18lbs and 3 oz now. He is just the sweetest baby-laughing and smiling all the time. He can almost sit up unsupported-and loves to do so!

Happy Birthday Sydney

Sydney finally decided, after changing her mind several times, to have a Hello Kitty party at the Fun Factory and she had a blast.

Here are Sydney and Chris climbing up to go down the slide. Chris had just as much fun as the kids!

Sydney and Anna
One of the biggest hits was the Helicopter ride.
John Evan did great - especially since I forgot to pack him a bottle. He's got plenty of milk stored up!

Coming down!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Kitty
YaYa and Pop were not able to come to the party, so they brought cupcakes, icecream, and presents over on Monday.
We decided to bring all the gifts home and open them because there was not enough time at the party. She got a lot of great presents!

We had 15 kids and 20 adults! Thanks to everyone for coming and making this a special day for Sydney!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! Sydney had a great time and she asked me everyday "Is it Halloween Today?" Finally I said "yes!"
These pictures are in random order...sorry!

Chris' cousin, Leah, had a really cute Halloween party. She read the kids 2 really cute books and they made a pop-up ghost and witch's food in the "spooky" room (as her daughter Emma would say). Aren't they cute all drinking their juice?
Here is Sydney playing "Hot Pumpkin" at the library for story time. She didn't understand that she had to pass the pumpkin.
Here is adorable Drew dressed as a pumpkin.
Here are Sydney and Shelby dressed as "nice" witches. Check out those legs!
We went to "Trunk-or Treat" at church and Sydney ate a donut off a string.
Funny hair (Hudson) and nice witch!

We went trick-or-treating on Sorority Row. Every house we went to, Sydney went to every single girl. One of the girls at the first house made the mistake of telling her that all the girls had candy.

Well, Sydney had a great time and got 2 buckets of candy! We love Halloween! Where is John Evan, you ask? It was way too hot for his Bear costume, so he just wore his Halloween sleeper and had a great time being drug around with sister!
