The Dream

Last night Sydney and I were laying in her bed. We always talk and tell stories and snuggle right before bed time. This is what she said to me......
"Hey mommy, last night I had a dream. I dreamed that Heavenly Father and Gordon B Hinkley saw eachother in heaven. They were friends and they hugged eachother."
I could NOT believe it. How precious! I had no idea what to say! What a wonderful child and a wonderful dream!

A little background....
Gordon B. Hinkley is the living prophet of our church. He is an inspired man called to speak for the Lord, just as other prophets did in the scriptures. He is the only person on the earth who receives revelation to guide the entire church.

Nemo on Ice

Nemo on Ice was a blast! All the colorful fish were just beautiful! The girls had a blast! This is the 3rd year we have all gotten to go together. Beth and I bought the girls a matching outfit to wear! They were adorable!

I'm sure Beth appreciates me not posting the picture of her in the hat!

Chris's mom, Sandra, went with us too! Can't wait till next year!

Sydney's Birthday Party

Sydney had her 4th birthday party at Tumbling Tides. Tumbling Tides is the place where she takes gymnastics. It was really cute. They spent an hour out on the floor where the coaches helped them on the equipment and then 30 min. in the party room where we had cake and icecream and opened presents. Ofcourse the pictures are out of order! Thanks to all her friends and family that came to her party!
Sydney opening presents. She got 9 barbie dolls and lots of other cute presents!

Blowing out candles
Chris bought some trick candles without telling me. It was pretty funny because I could not figure out why Sydney could not blow them out!

Sydney had about 25 friends and cousins there to celebrate!

One of the coaches placed a "crown" on the birthday girl.

I am so excited to announce that I started teaching spin at Fitness South about 2 weeks ago. It is something that I have been thinking about for a long time and finally got the nerve up to start! I am going to a 9 hour certification in B'ham on Saturday. They were pretty desperate at the gym for a teacher so they wanted me to go ahead and start. The hardest part is getting music together and setting a routine to it! The best part is I get paid $20.00 a class and the kids can go to the nursery at the gym! Wish me luck on Saturday cause I have to do 2 ninety minute classes! Wow-my hiny will be sore! Thanks to Leah L. for talking me into taking spin for the first time over a year ago! I would have never tried it without her! For those of you who have never tried spin, try it-it is lots of fun and a great workout! Just give it a couple of times and it gets easier!

Halloween

Wow! We had a busy Halloween, but it was lots of fun! Sydney dressed up as Minnie Mouse (thanks Anna for letting us borrow the outfit) and John Evan was a turtle. As most of you know, I am a little obsessed with turtles, so I wanted to let John Evan dress up as one before he got too old for it. I don't really care much for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

Anna and Joshua came by on Halloween night. They were so cute!

Valoree, Richard, and Hudson came over to trick-or-treat. It was really nice to be in a neighborhood where there were a lot of kids walking around having so much fun!
Pirate Valoree and turtle John Evan. He was happy as long as he had a sucker.

Tuesday night we went to Sorority Row. Chris says it always makes him feel old cause all the girls call him sir!

Ofcourse John Evan has a sucker!

We were way last minute on the pumpkin carving! We had some trouble finding one, so we didn't carve it until Halloween Day! Oh well!

Shelby and Sydney posing with the pumpkin.
Minnie Mouse and Snow White
and to that we add Hudson the Vampire. I don't think I have ever seen him so quite. He couldn't talk with his vampire teeth in! Too cute!
We walked around with some neighborhood kids. The one in the green is Sydney's "boyfriend".
Valoree invited us to a Fall Festival. They had games, dinner, a train ride, inflatables, and a hayride. The kids had a blast.
Hudson milking a cow.

Sydney's turn. She kept getting on the side where she couldn't reach!
Having fun on the slides.
Flying down
Posing with the pumpkins.

We had a little party at the church for playgroup. The kids decorated cookies and played musical chairs.

I love Halloween so much! I hate it is over!

Birthday Girl

My precious Sydney turned 4 yesterday. The first thing she said yesterday when I told her she was 4 was, "I'm 4 today, just like Hudson?" She was so excited. She had a great b'day party Saturday and I will hopefully get to post pictures of that and Halloween soon.
Sydney has really been a joy in my life. She is truly an Angel from my Heavenly Father. She is so smart, funny, and beautiful. She is full of herself and full of life! She goes to bed every night wanting to know what we are doing the next day and wakes up every morning ready to go. She is growing up so fast and is such a great big sister to John Evan. She is so caring and sweet. She is always complimenting me and tells me I am as pretty as a wedding ring! I look forward to the years to come of fun and laughter! I love you Sydney!

Parties, Parties, and more Parties!

Sydney has been to a couple of really cute b'day parties recently. This one was a pony party where her friend Eloise was turning two. They had real ponies to ride and a hayride. It was really cute and Sydney loved it!

John Evan and his very "motherly" friend Sarah Madeline. She named one of her baby dolls after John Evan.

This was for Meredith and Madison's 6th birthday. The party was at the new Doll Shop downtown. VERY CUTE! You pick a theme (Diva theme) and all the kids get to dress up and they learn a little dance and eat cake and icecream off real china and then perform the dance for the adults. Sydney had a blast.

Another one at the Doll Shop with a fairy theme, Sydney's friend, Ballard, turned 4. Sydney was so cute dancing around!
