Split

Be sure to check out all 3 posts I did this weekend~

At church last Sunday they announced that our church (ward) would be split starting the following Sunday. Pretty much what this means is that we had a lot of members and are out growing our building. This is a good thing that we have so many members. So, they make certain boundaries depending on where you live. There is now a Tuscaloosa ward and a (new) Northport ward. My family and I are in the Northport ward. The sad part about this is that my two sisters that love in town will be in the Tuscaloosa ward. We will all be in the building at the same time we will just be doing differnt things. Make since?
With that being said-I am no longer primary president. I am really surprised that my calling lasted such a short time and I really enjoyed working with my presidency and I really love the kids! I don't have a new calling yet but Chris was called as Young Men's president. He will be in charge of the youth age boys from 12-18. This will be a pretty time consuming calling but I know he will do a great job!

My niece, Shelby, spent the night last Friday. She's so sweet! She's so funny cause she brings her own stuff but always wants to wear Sydney's nightgowns and clothes. After church last week

Sydney had her little gymnastics "show" last Friday. They just do a dance/routine to two Christmas songs. It is really neat to watch the older girls perform doing all their tumbling and stuff. Sydney did really good. Thanks to everybody who came:Chad, Sandra, Rick, mom, dad, and Shelby.

We went to my friend, Melissa's, house to make gingerbread houses and swap presents for the kids. It was a lot of fun! John Evan was the only boy again this year so I brought him his own little gift to open.

Callaway Gardens

This was our second year to go to Pine Mountain, GA to visit Callaway Gardens to see the Fantasy In Lights.
The packet includes one meal. We ate at the little country restaurant right down from the hotel. This is right across the street from where we had breakfast. Beautiful.

Chris climbed the tree!

We went early to the lights show and just let the kids run around until it was time to start.

The lights were amazing. We let the kids sit upfront with us so they could see good. My favorite was the butterflies and dragonflies. John Evan's was the frog. Sydney's was the fairies. Chris's was some big tree that was lit up only because he once saw some ducks around it.

I love staying in hotels but unfortunately we all had a miserable night. John Evan "slept" with me and Sydney "slept" with Chris. No one slept much!

Enjoying their chocolate milk.

jumping from bed to bed

The package also includes entrance into the gardens. The best part is the butterfly house.

I hope all of you are having a MERRY CHRISTMAS so far!

Tooth Fairy

Right after Sydney Kate turned 5 her bottom tooth became loose. Chris and I could not believe that she was old enough to have a real loose tooth so we were convinced she must have accidently knocked it loose! HAHA! Then on Tuesday, Dec. 2nd she wiggled it right out. Mary bought her a cute little pillow for her birthday. So, she put it under her big pillow and the tooth fairy gave her $5! That night we took her to the Dollar General to pick out a toy. I can't belive my baby is this big!

getting ready for Christmas

Just like everybody else - I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Here are some things we have been doing to get ready for the big day.

We always get a ton of Christmas cards mostly with pictures and I never have a place to display them all. So, Sydney Kate and I painted a bunch of clothes pins to hang them up. We made Christmas Jello Jigglers.

Hudson and Chandler spent the night the day Evan was born.

The kids have their own personal tree. They loved decorating them!

John Evan pointing out the train. Why do trees always look better in person?

our finished craft plus our count down calendar

Elf on a Shelf
These are so cute! The elf "travels" to the North Pole every night and tells Santa how you have been and he shows up in a different spot every morning. The kids get SO excited every morning to find him! Really cute!

Mickey Mouse

This is what Chris looked like the whole time we were decorating!

The Nativity
Before we put this out Sydney Kate said "Momma you know what I remember from last year? That Christmas is not all about gifts it is about Jesus being born." What an awesome girl!

She was as excited as I was!

Evan Faye Morgan

My sister, Valoree, had her baby on Tuesday the 2nd. She weighs 7lbs 1oz and 19 1/2 in. long. Valoree had a great delivery! I'm so glad that Sydney Kate and I were able to be among the first to meet her!

Valoree and her boys before Evan joined the family.

Sydney Kate said "Oh Mamma I want a baby sister just like her! "

The boys spent the night with us that night and they are just so sweet to my kids! I'm so excited about adding a new cousin to the mix. Congratulations to the Morgan's on a beautiful baby girl!
