John Evan's Birthday Party

This year we had a "firetruck" birthday party for John Evan. We all met at the big Firestation downtown and then went to Nucor Park for cake and icecream. It was a lot of fun.

Chris and the kids on the slide. It was SO hot at the park!
All the presents
We waited until we got home to open presents. I woke JE up after a 3 hour nap to check out his loot. He had the best time. He would pull the present out of the bag and then hand it to daddy and say "open".
He got a lot of cars (his favorite) so we filled up his backpack with them. He was so excited to carry them around.
Chris and I got him this big play rug for him to play with his cars on.

At the firestation they let us tour the station. They even demonstrated the LOUD alarm going off and the firemen sliding down the pole.
Some of the onlookers.
The cake. It was SO cute!

JE eating his cake. Richard made him this super cute t-shirt. It says John Evan and has a firetruck on the front.

Hudson, Sydney , Chris, and JE infront of the firetruck. They had a fireman at the top of the TALL ladder. It was really neat.

This is the back of his cute shirt and the back of my bir rear end!
They demonstrated a firemen putting all his uniform on. They were teaching the kids to not be afraid if you see someone dressed like this because they are there to help you.
The kdis got to sit in the firetruck and look around. They gave the kids a pencil and a tatoo.

I have SO many more pictures, but just can't post them all. Thank you Jessica for taking pictures. Thank you to everyone who came and for all the great presents.

We had so much fun at the party! I'm so glad John Evan liked his train.

Sorry you don't have the lovely picture of me at the fire pole. No, Caroline, I won't be posting that.
