Grandmother Ruby
Chris's grandmother, Ruby, passed away on Sunday and today was her funeral. I will not go into a lot of detail but I just want to share the love between Ruby and her husband of almost 60 years. Sid and Ruby have had a long sweet marriage and it was so hard for him to lose his wife. Papa Sid had a pretty hard time comprehending everything that was going on so he asked a lot of questions over the past couple of days. We had to tell him several times that she was gone. A couple of times while we were at Hospice his mind would clear up a little and he would hold her hand and tell her what a good wife and mother she was and he would even pray over her bed. What a sweet sweet thing to witness. They are a wonderful example to Chris and I. Today right before they closed the casket he stood over her and told her "bye-I'll see you in Heaven one day"
I love Papa Sid and Grandmother Ruby as my own grandparents. They have always welcomed me into their family with open arms. I am proud to have a daughter named after Papa. Sydney is handling things pretty well. She said she was okay because she would just remember Grandmother how she used to be instead of how she was when she was sick. How sweet.
Please keep Papa Sid in your prayers while he deals with his loss. Pray that his mind will stay clear so he can remember the sweet memories that they have had over these past long years!

more pictures
I took the kids to Portrait Innovations to have their Easter pictures made a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, John Evan would NOT cooperate! It was awful. They had a lego table right inside the door so he did not want to stop playing with that. I tried EVERYTHING to get him to sit with Sydney but nothing worked. So, I decided to just get Sydney's taken by herself since she was all dressed up. Afterwards while I was picking out which pictures I wanted, John Evan cried the whole time and I tried to get him to play with the lego table again and he wanted nothing to do with it! What is up with that? Later that week I took him to Sears for another attempt and no he wouldn't cooperate there either. So , oh well no pictures for him this year. Sydney's turned out beautiful and the best thing about that place is you get to leave with your portraits!
Here are a couple of shots at the new mall.....

Here are some shots at the Veterans Memorial Park on McFarland. John Evan always points at the airplane as we ride by, so we stopped and let them run around. It was SUPER windy that day!

The kids helped me make a casserole to take to momma and daddy's house. This is kinda a fuzzy picture, but I think it is the only one I got of them together in their Easter outfits!
We went to momma and daddy's for an egg hunt and dinner. As always, it was great to have everybody together! I am so blessed to have my family all live pretty close together!

Easter #1
We had a wonderful Easter! It was so great to talk to the kids about the true meaning of Easter. What a great example Jesus Christ is! What an amazing thing he did for us! I am so thankful for his sacrifice!
One weekend I took Hudson and Sydney to the gymnastice meet and he spent the night. The next day we had a blast coloring Easter eggs. We started out with a lot more then we ended up with. Sydney let one roll off the table, John Evan threw one, and Hudson mashed on one too hard trying to put on a sticker!

The finished project.....
Hudson's favorite hat.....I never could get a good picture of his face!

I took the kids to the mall to see the Easter bunny. Ofcourse John Evan clung to me for life so I didn't get a picture! Sydney rode the train.

JE watching Syd on the train. He actually walked down to it and almost got on and then turned back around and changed his mind. I'm surprised cause he rode on it at Christmas. Oh well, you never know!
We always have to stop and ride some rides down by Sears.

We colored eggs 3 seperate times and had two different egg hunts so look for lots more pictures!

March for Babies
I just wanted to explain the side bar to the left!
Chris and I have been very blessed to have two perfectly healthy children. Unfortunately, all children are not born this way. That's why I have decided to join in with my MOMS Club and participate in the March for Babies walk on April 26th. Anyone that wants can participate in this event. You don't have to try to raise money to do it! Just come and walk and support! I am participating in March for Babies because I believe in the March of Dimes mission to save babies The money we raise helps save premature and sick babies. Premature birth is the #1 cause of newborn death and the biggest threat to babies’ health today, and through March for Babies, the March of Dimes is funding important research to find out why premature birth happens and what can be done to prevent it. Feel free to donate! I actually raised my goal from $100.00 to $150.00 because I have had such a great response! For more info., go to the website. http://www.marchforbabies.org/?si=3597E6AA-5F7E-427B-A7FC-034BDA379E07
